Recently, we’ve discussed Tesla’s new Spring Software update, which brings many enhancements and new features to Tesla vehicles equipped with Intel or AMD chips. This update, which includes new sharper visuals, an auto trunk opening feature, enhanced control over Sentry Mode via the Tesla app, and more, has generated much excitement within the Tesla community. Tesla Seemingly Halts Rollout of Spring Update

This week marked the beginning of the staggered rollout of the Spring Update across the United States. However, recent developments have shown that Tesla has temporarily halted the distribution of this update. While the specific reasons for this pause remain unconfirmed, it is likely due to unresolved software bugs that were detected post-launch. This isn’t the first time Tesla has paused an update to address bugs, and it is anticipated that the company will resolve these concerns rather quickly to resume the rollout of this update.

Intel Based Vehicles Miss Out on Some Features

An important point to note, as discussed in our previous coverage, is that the complete visual overhaul included in the Spring Update will only be available on AMD-equipped vehicles. This update features a new 3D interactive visual of the vehicle, similar to the Cybertruck’s interface. The exclusion of Intel-equipped vehicles from this update is most likely due to the lesser graphics power of the older Intel chips. While owners understand the reasoning behind the exclusion of this feature within their vehicles, it’s still disappointing for some. However, it has been confirmed by a few who have already received the update on their Intel-based Teslas that they are still receiving nearly all other aspects of the visual redesign. This includes the new full-screen Full Self-Driving display with navigation in the corner of the display and a revamped music player. So, thankfully, owners of Intel-equipped Teslas can take comfort in knowing that they are not missing out on much, aside from the new 3D vehicle visual.

As Tesla continues this phased rollout, the anticipation and feedback from the community are expected to guide further changes and refinements, ensuring that the update not only enhances car functionality but also retains stability across the fleet.
