Tesla decided to give us all a little surprise yesterday by introducing a new Lunar Silver color for the Model S and Model X. While many might argue that silver has been out of style for a while, it seems Tesla wants to bring it back and make it cool again.
Now, this is not your typical silver color like the one on your grandma’s Camry, as it’s less dull and significantly flashier. It appears even brighter than the recently introduced Quick Silver on the Model Y. However, it comes with a hefty price tag of $2,500. You have to be quite passionate about silver to want to shell out that much cash. But then again, most people purchasing a Model S or X probably aren’t too worried about money.
It will be interesting to see how well this color sells, and we look forward to seeing these new flashy Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles on the road in the near future! We also hope Tesla reintroduces a variant of silver for the Model 3, as this color option was discontinued for that vehicle back in 2018, and it’s the last remaining vehicle in Tesla’s lineup lacking a silver option of some kind.
