The wait is finally over for those wanting to order the new 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning! Ford has officially resumed sales this week after a two-month pause due to quality control issues.

The updated 2024 models are now available on Ford’s website, including 10 extra miles of range for the standard battery and reduced prices across the board. However, the entry-level “Pro” trim has been discontinued, which used to start at $57,090. This means that despite the price drops, the starting price has increased to $62,995 for the new entry-level XLT model.

Here are the updated range estimates and prices for the 2024 F-150 Lightning:

2024 F-150 Lightning TrimRangeNew Starting PriceOld Starting Price
XLT Standard Range240 Miles$62,995$65,090
Flash Extended Range320 Miles$67,995$70,090
Lariat Extended Range320 Miles$76,995$79,090
Platinum Extended Range320 Miles$84,995$87,090

Somewhat disappointingly, the 2024 models retain the same peak DC fast charging rate of 150kW. This means that while charging speeds are decent, they are by no means class-leading.

Over the past few years, the F-150 Lightning has proven itself to be a fairly impressive electric pickup. The 2024 model is a solid choice if you’re in the market for an electric truck, especially if you don’t plan to frequently take long road trips. However, even if you must, range anxiety should be mostly eliminated, as Ford EV owners officially have access to the Tesla Supercharger network.
